For decades, the F-150 has been one of the top-selling trucks in the country. Ford has reinvented the Ford F-150 with its latest addition to the lineup, an all-electric option named the Ford F-150 Lightning. Along with reducing the carbon footprint, the new rendition promises to be a powerful member of the roster.
Performance
The new F-150 Lightning at Cutter Ford have two motors powered by one or two battery packs. Lightning versions equipped with the dual-extended range battery setup generate an impressive 563 horsepower and 775 pound-foot of torque. The unique powertrain enables the pickup to go from zero to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds. Pickups with dual-motor, extended battery configuration have a tow rating of up to 10,000 pounds.
The 2022 Lightning also gets an independent rear suspension, designed to ensure a smoother, quieter ride. Drivers determine the best level of performance for a task by choosing from normal, off-road, sport, or haul/tow modes.
On Board Technology

Drivers also get a digital instrument panel measuring 12 inches. The Lightning's system has a technological advancement known as BlueCruise, enabling hands-free driving while cruising the highway.
The vehicle's system also can upgrade itself using an internet connection. Other electronic features include the Pro Trailer Hitch Assist technology that helps the driver control pickup speed, braking, and steering when hooking up a trailer. Scale technology monitors payload and provides an estimated distance of travel.
The Frunk
Lightning trucks are created with a sizable frunk containing four electrical outlets and two USB charging stations that offer 2.4 kilowatts to power appliances, tools, or other electronics. The space is large enough to hold two sets of golf clubs and comes with a floor drain for easy cleaning.
