Performance
Aiea
drivers who stick with the base trim get a 2.3L turbocharged flat four-cylinder
that makes 275 horsepower and 315 pound-feet of torque. The engine makes 300
horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque when running on premium fuel. The SUV
can accelerate from rest to 60 miles per hour in 7.7 seconds when powered by
the standard engine. The optional 2.7L twin-turbocharged V6 engine has a
standard output of 315 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque. The premium
fuel version of the optional 2.7L engine makes 330 horsepower and 415
pound-feet of torque.
Regarding
additional performance specifications, this SUV features Fox Racing Remote
Reservoir Shock Absorbers for enhanced off-road performance. The shocks are
built with a unique oil reservoir separated from the shock absorber's main
body. This allows more oil to be used, allowing the damping and rebound rates
to be tuned more precisely for improved handling on rough terrain.
A passive
damping system also helps improve ride comfort and reduce body roll. This
algorithm calculates the optimal damper force for each wheel, providing better
cornering performance and improved overall stability.
The new
Ford Bronco comes equipped with Bilstein™ Position-Sensitive Dampers with
end-stop control. This system uses adjustable damping forces to reduce body
roll and improve ride comfort. The position-sensitive dampers have built-in
sensors that recognize when the vehicle is cornering, accelerating, or braking
and automatically adjust the damper settings to deliver optimal performance.
